Building the Regenerative Future
Empowering a global movement of human communities living in harmony with the Earth.
Imagine a world with an abundance of healthy, natural homes, wherein people wake up each morning with a sense of purpose, feeling connected to their community, and living in partnership with the Earth. Geoship is building this world by redesigning how we build homes and communities from physics first principles.
THE VISION
”Make the world work, for 100% of humanity, in the shortest possible time, through spontaneous cooperation, without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone.”
- Buckminster Fuller
“The lightest, strongest, and most efficient means of enclosing space known to man.”
- American Institute of Architects

Buckminster Fuller brings geodesics to the world
2008
After spending decades engineering the home of the future, Buckminster Fuller patented the geodesic dome. However, Bucky predicted it would be 50-100 years until advancements in material science would enable mass manufacturing of geodesic homes.
Chemically Bonded Ceramics are developed at Argonne National Labs.
In the late 90s, Professor Rustum Roy identified a new class of materials known as Chemically Bonded Ceramics. This discovery initiated an ongoing R&D project at Argonne National Labs, led by Dr. Arun Wagh, to develop and commercialize the new family of materials. These 21st-century materials combine the properties of ceramic, cement, and epoxy into one healthy, natural material that mimics the chemical composition of bone.

Geoship begins deep research and development
Geoship founders Morgan Bierschenk and Bas Kools begin developing proprietary formulations of Chemically Bonded Ceramics for the mass manufacturing of geodesic homes. Their R&D journey started in a 120-year-old farmhouse on Whidbey Island, Washington State.

Geoship was founded as a Social Purpose Corporation. The SPC structure ensures that we prioritize long-term purpose over short-term profits. After going public, Geoship will progressively decentralize to become a Multi-Stakeholder Cooperative, driven by a Perpetual Purpose Trust - the gold standard for steward ownership in the US.
This structure enables rapid, decentralized growth while ensuring Geoship stays true to its purpose, which is inspired by Buckminster Fuller himself:
We complete design, manufacturing, and installation of the world's first all-ceramic composite structure.

Geoship moves into a 15,000 SF facility and onboards an executive leadership team with experience from Tesla Motors, SpaceX, and other first-principles engineering companies.
Changing the world by transforming the world’s largest industry.
The US housing market is valued at $43.5T, more than the value of all public companies combined. Perhaps the most significant effort to revolutionize this vital industry from physics-first principles began in 1927 with Buckminster Fuller, the visionary architect and polymath who dedicated his life to this pursuit.
Dome interior is complete and we close $3m in funding from over 50 mission-aligned angel investors.

Engineering from Physics' First Principles
We’re engineering the home of the future from physics' first principles. The ceramic geodesic dome optimizes at the most fundamental levels. Imagine radically affordable homes that are more sustainable, resilient, and healing than any home available today. We believe the Earth needs us—that humanity belongs here as active agents cultivating Earth’s ecosystems. Geoship is a tool to build a more beautiful and sustainable world for ourselves and future generations.
