ICYMI: October 8th Live Geoship Investor Webinar Recap and Replay

On October 8th, we held our first "Investor Circle" live webinar to kick off this funding round during our community-first period. With 300 RSVPs and nearly 50% attendance at the live virtual event, we were grateful and humbled by the inspiring community members—both current and prospective investors—who joined us for this energizing conversation.

Sarah (Head of Crowdfunding) MC'd the event, while Morgan (Chief Vision Officer) opened with heartfelt remarks about his role and the global significance of our mission, expressing gratitude for everyone's support. Micha, our CEO, then led the group through a live pitch, providing context on our recent traction, strategy, forecasts, and company vision before opening up to a moderated Q&A panel based on pre-submitted questions.

As the event drew to a close, one of our earliest and largest impact investors, David Gaian of Holos investment group, volunteered to share his personal testimony, offering insights into why he invested in Geoship and expressing enthusiasm about the opportunity. (Jump to timestamp: 50:26)

Live Q&A Session Recap & Key Insights:

Q: When will our domes be available in different geographies, including U.S. and international possibilities? What are the current timelines for delivery?

A: We are currently ordering equipment for our first pilot production facility, which will arrive in the coming weeks and months. Our target is to start producing panels and deliver our first dome to a customer in Q1 of next year. While this is ambitious, our team is working hard to achieve it.

Next year, we plan to deliver around ten homes in Northern California. If you’re near Nevada City, you may still have a chance to get into our delivery window for next year.

In the following year, we will ramp up production to approximately eight homes per month and build a larger factory capable of delivering thousands of homes.

We are obtaining regulatory approval in California first, so if you're outside the state, we don’t have exact delivery dates yet. However, we have orders in Austin, Texas, and North Carolina, and your pre-orders can influence where we expand next.

Internationally, we have significant interest. Our second-largest investor is working on a project in Costa Rica and wants 150 units. We're here to support international customers as they work with their local regulatory authorities to get approval for their projects.

Q: Once my Geoship is ready for delivery, what happens next? What is the delivery process, and will Geoship handle the installation?

A: In markets where we’re developing, we will hire installation teams to assemble homes for customers, which is faster than training local contractors. Since we’re getting factory-built housing certification, we won’t need certified electricians and plumbers; our installers will handle the assembly efficiently.

Initially, customers will be responsible for laying the foundation. We’ll provide the necessary specifications, and you will need to have the foundation ready for us. We are also developing technology to build foundations from our Bioceramic composite, but that will take a few years to bring to market.

For now, customers will hire contractors for the foundations, and we’ll install the dome on your prepared foundation.

Q: How resilient are our domes to natural disasters? What will the repair process look like if they are damaged?

A: Our Bioceramic composite and geodesic homes are more resilient than any other housing product available today. While there may be damage from significant impacts, our material bonds well to itself and can be repaired easily.

If your home experiences cosmetic damage or cracks, we will provide a repair mix to assist with those repairs. Our homes are designed to minimize catastrophic damage. For example, if a fire sweeps through your neighborhood, your dome may need resurfacing and window replacement, but it will likely still stand, keeping your belongings and family safe.

Q: What climate conditions are Geoships optimized for?

A: Geoships are suitable for a wide range of climates. They can be placed in Alaska, where they will remain warm with minimal energy for heating, and in tropical regions, where they resist moisture and mold while staying cool inside.

We are overbuilding the homes to withstand any conditions in California, including the most extreme. While other companies offer different versions of homes to reduce costs for varying climates, we’re designing ours to be adaptable for all environments. In the future, we may create specialized versions, but for now, they will be built to perform well across diverse conditions.
