Product Engineering Updates
Structural Engineering Complete: We’ve engineered Amma to withstand the highest seismic, snow, and wind loads across California, a state known for some of the most stringent building codes in the U.S. Completing structural part design, engineering simulations, and initial testing is a significant milestone, ensuring Amma can withstand not only fires, but the highest snow, wind, and seismic loads across the state of California—setting a new benchmark for climate resilience.
Scalable GeoRok Production: Our proprietary GeoRok material is now ready for continuous production through a highly scalable process enabled by our proprietary mixing system. After many years of material science and engineering, we have a solution that enables the production of ceramic composite parts continuously with high quality.
Loft Design Finalized: The loft adds 630 square feet to Amma, bringing the total floor area to 1,660 square feet. Designed to elevate the living experience, it features a master bedroom beneath a stunning great circle skylight, with two spacious closets, an expansive bathroom with exquisite curved glass shower doors, a large freestanding bathtub, double sinks, and plenty of windows for natural light. Step out of the master bedroom into a bright studio or office space overlooking the living area, setting an inspiring tone for your day. The helical staircase adds an artistic touch, with space for a tree or totem in the sacred center of the dome, beautifully merging nature and technology. It creates an environment for reflection and creativity—a perfect space to design and innovate how we live in harmony with the Earth and one another.
Manufacturing Updates
Purchase Orders Released for Key Equipment: After several months of manufacturing design and engineering we’ve ordered key equipment for our Pilot Plant, including our proprietary mixing system and raw mineral handling system, both of which are crucial to scaling production efficiently.
Pilot Factory Capacity Estimates Exceed Expectations: The factory layout has been finalized, with a projected capacity that far surpasses our initial expectations. This positions us to achieve our goal of becoming default alive—profitable and self-sufficient—after this seed round, a remarkable achievement for a startup developing deep technology to positively disrupt the world’s largest market! Unlike many deep tech companies that require hundreds of millions—or even billions—of dollars to reach profitability, Geoship is proving its model at the pilot scale with impressive capacity per square foot of manufacturing space and strong local market penetration. This approach derisks the company, enabling a much higher valuation while staying true to our ecological and social purpose.
Production Timeline for Amma #1: We plan to begin production of Amma #1 by the end of this year, initially starting with a more manual process that we progressively automate. Our goal is to receive a Certificate Of Occupancy for Amma #1 by the end of April. Throughout this process, we are continuously balancing budget, timeline, and scope to move as quickly as possible while ensuring we deliver a product customers will love!
