Diogo’s career has been driven by a strong interest in how structures behave and perform. He has experience working on the analysis and design of bridges, dams, and solar support structures, bringing both technical depth and practical perspective to complex infrastructure projects. He earned his PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Davis, where his research focused on the confinement of concrete using externally bonded fiber-reinforced polymers. His work has led to six scientific publications that contribute to advancements in the field. Diogo enjoys the challenge of turning solid engineering fundamentals into efficient, real-world solutions. Outside of work, you’ll usually find him playing racquetball or staying active at the gym.
